Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT)

Oral appliance therapy is an alternative therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing, including obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring.

An appliance, somewhat similar to a sports mouthguard or orthodontic retainer, is worn in the mouth at night to reposition the jaw forward, preventing the upper airway from collapsing during sleep.

The FusionSleep® Center offers oral appliance therapy and comprehensive follow-up through its Dental Sleep Medicine Program.
