FusionSleep is an accredited, independent medical practice that is 100% dedicated to sleep medicine.
We are currently seeking driven, goal oriented professionals to join our team of Patient Advocates in our Suwanee, GA location. This role requires you to live in Georgia and commute to Suwanee, GA.
COVID Vaccination Required.
This position is responsible for educating patients on our services, scheduling service visits for new and follow up patients and responding to patients and referral sources about insurance and other general questions regarding our services.
Primary responsibilities include:
Accurately scheduling patients for clinic appointments, sleep studies and PAP set up and support appointments.
Communicating to patients what to expect during service visit(s)
Verifying active insurance, quoting benefits and financial liability to our patients
Engage in verbal and written communication with referral sources, team members and Management.
Managing inbound and outbound phone calls while providing excellent customer service.
Primary Requirements are:
Self-motivated worker, critical thinker, capable of learning and retaining new information quickly.
Ability to explain insurance benefits to laypersons.
Computer skills, including Word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Answer high volume of inbound calls and desire to seek solutions in real time
Excellent time management, organization skills and comfortable communicating via phone, email and text.
Follows HIPAA guidelines.
Accustomed to working in high volume, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, some college preferred.
Minimum of 2 years prior experience with healthcare-related Customer Service Team and/or Call Center
Healthcare-related, Inside Sales a plus.
Previous experience as Medical Assistant a plus
Knowledge of sleep, pulmonary, and/or cardiac medicine, PAP devices and supplies, a plus
Professional and friendly phone voice and demeanor
Team player that recognizes value in nurturing relationship with different departments.
Technical Skills:
Good computer skills, including Word, Excel, Care Cloud, NextGen
This role is for someone excited about sleep, capable of resolving patient issue during inbound call and interested in being a part of a great team!
Successful candidate:
Has prior experience working in a fast-paced clinic or hospital intake environment (Medical Assistant, Financial Counselor)
High energy, upbeat personality and able to reflect that in your phone voice
Multi-tasker
Enjoys speaking with patients and offering help to others

FusionSleep , located in Johns Creek/Suwanee, Georgia, is an accredited, independent medical practice that is 100% dedicated to sleep medicine.
Our expert team of experienced physicians are board certified in sleep medicine and focus on disease prevention and management.
Applicants posting for this position must be able to work a weekly eight hour shift, Monday through Friday. Some weekend work is required for inventory audits.

Principle Responsibilities:
Ensure that all equipment and supply request are processed to patient specifications
Fulfill supply requests within 24 to 48 hours of receipt
Ensure accurate fulfillment and follow up
Confirm patient insurance eligibility and pre-certification for supplies and equipment
Ability to professionally interact quickly with patients and customers in-person without an appointment
Contact patients to confirm supplies needed, shipping address and collect any co-insurance or deductibles
Respond to patient and clinic staff regarding supply costs
Order PAP supplies for FusionSleep inventory and prepare for supply audits
Accurate system documentation of tasks pending and completed
Education & Experience preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of six month experience in health care customer service or support role
Minimum of one year DME insurance billing experience - Sleep/PAP specific experience preferred.
Requirements:
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving skills and a desire to acquire new skills
Possess the ability to collaborate in a team environment or work independently
Comfortable working with various software applications at one time
CareCloud, Brightree or other practice management and EHR/EMR system experience
