Heidi Riney, MD, D.ABPNMedical Director / Board Certified Sleep Medicine PhysicianDr. Riney is a Board Certified Sleep Medicine Physician with additional expertise in neurophysiology. She is board certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Riney is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals (GASP) and National Sleep Foundation (NSF), where she serves on the Public Affairs Committee. She completed her medical training at Wake Forest, neurology residency and neurophysiology fellowship at Emory University and sleep medicine fellowship at FusionSleep®. Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Sleep Medicine Dentist with additional expertise in temporal-mandibular joint disorders and craniofacial pain syndromes. He is board certified by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Patel is a member of American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He completed his dental training and an additional year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Tennessee. She has years of experience in emergency care, out-patient based pulmonology, and sleep medicine. Judy Sherman, MS, APRN, NP-cCertified Family Nurse PractitionerJudy Sherman, MS, APRN, NP-c, began her nursing career in 1993 at Emory University Hospital working with cardiac patients. She cared for patients after open heart surgery as well as patients who had heart attacks, strokes and any other type of cardiac event.. After Emory, she honed her cardiology skills by specializing in cardiac rehabilitation and then in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta at Egelston. In addition to cardiac nursing, Judy worked in Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta for over five years. |

Deborah Whitehair, MS, PA-C, DFAAPACertified Physician AssistantDeborah Whitehair has been a certified physician assistant for 30 years, with over 20 years of experience in sleep medicine. Deborah has been an instructor at Georgia Southern University and an assistant professor and clinical coordinator in the Emory University PA Program and Family Practice Residency Program where she helped train PA students and assist the physicians in the residency program. She obtained her BS and MS degrees in Biology from Georgia Southern University and attended PA school at the Medical College of Georgia. |
