 SleepSafeDrivers Announces Early Success in Sleep Trials with J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (November 2, 2009) SleepSafeDrivers, Inc., a national provider of sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment programs for fleets, today announced positive preliminary results from a clinical trial focused on testing and treating truck drivers suffering with sleep apnea as part of a national contract with J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. The clinical trial is a collaborative effort among J.B. Hunt, SleepSafeDrivers, Inc., and Fusion Sleep LLC, Georgia’s leading provider of clinical sleep medicine services to patients and employers.

 As of September 2009, Dr. David B. Pitts will join the Fusion Sleep Medicine professional medical team as a Sleep Medicine Physician. He began his Sleep Medicine fellowship with the Fusion Sleep Program in September of 2008.
Dr. David B. Pitts becomes the fourth specialty physician to complete the Fusion Sleep Medicine fellowship. Medical and fellowship director, Dr. Jeffrey S. Durmer said, “Dr. Pitts has completed a rigorous multi-disciplinary clinical Sleep Medicine fellowship at Fusion. Through it all he has demonstrated an outstanding grasp of the depth and breadth of the causes for sleep disorders and treatments available for patients of all ages. I am excited to have him on the Fusion team as a full-time Sleep Medicine physician and I know our patients are overjoyed that he will continue his work at Fusion Sleep.”

UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare plan participants in GA now have access to Fusion Sleep’s sleep-disorder program
ATLANTA, GA. (June 5, 2009) — UnitedHealthcare and Fusion Sleep have signed a long-term agreement making the services of Fusion Sleep’s sleep disorder program available to UnitedHealthcare commercial customers and its Medicare and Evercare members.
“Fusion Sleep provides a very important service that helps thousands of Georgia residents improve their health and quality of life” said Rick Elliott, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Georgia. “This new agreement further demonstrates the depth of our health care provider network in Georgia and reflects our mutual commitment to providing local access to affordable, quality health care services.”
